1. How would you describe yourself in one sentence?
Hard working in school, sports, friendships, and fun.
2. What do you love the most about your work/school?
The community of people that work and study there.
3. What is your best accomplishment so far?
Diverting 98.6% of all waste generated by the 2016 Banff Marathon away from the landfill.
4. What is something you are working towards right now?
Finishing my classes and graduating from high school.
5. How do you like to spend your downtime?
Climbing—indoors or outdoors.
6. What is something you can’t imagine your life without?
Chocolate.
7. What is one thing that people will be surprised to hear about you?
I “flew” the plane to Boston for iGEM.
8. What is something you are afraid of?
Snakes.
9. What would you like your work to be ten years from now?
Honestly, the only requirement I have for my work is for it to be enjoyable enough for me to willingly sacrifice sleep sometimes.
10. What is one thing you appreciate about geekStarter?
Its support over the past three years of iGEM for our school’s team. Especially in connecting us with subject matter experts, other high school teams, and mentors.
